Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy
ChitChat is for adults who want to meet people honestly and respectfully. Breaking these rules can get your photos removed or your account suspended without a refund.
Be real
Use your own photos and tell the truth about your age and what you're looking for. One account per person. No impersonating anyone.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older. Never post, request or talk about anything sexual involving a minor. We report child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement.
Keep photos clean
No nudity or sexually explicit photos or videos on profiles. No photos of other people without their permission, and no photos of children on their own.
Respect and consent
No harassment, threats, hate speech or pressuring anyone. If someone isn't interested, move on. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
No selling, no scams
Don't ask for or offer money, gifts, crypto or financial help. No advertising, escort or paid sexual services, or sending people to other sites. If someone asks you for money, report them.
Zero tolerance: trafficking, exploitation and abuse
ChitChat must never be used for human trafficking, sex trafficking, forced labor, or any form of sexual exploitation, including of minors. You may not buy, sell, solicit or advertise sex or sexual services, or recruit, transport, harbor or control another person for those purposes. You may not commit, threaten, depict or promote sexual violence, and you may not abuse, threaten, stalk, blackmail or exploit anyone. You may not aid, abet, encourage or promote any of these things. Accounts involved are removed immediately and permanently, and we report them to law enforcement and, where children are involved, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
No non-consensual content
Never share, threaten to share, or ask for intimate or sexual images or videos of anyone without their clear consent, and never post photos or recordings of anyone taken without their knowledge. This includes AI-generated or edited images.
No scams or fraud
No romance scams, catfishing, fake profiles, phishing, investment or crypto schemes, or any attempt to trick members out of money or personal information.
Nothing illegal
No illegal activity of any kind, including selling drugs or weapons, fraud, identity theft, or sharing someone's private information.
Meeting in person
Meet in a public place, tell a friend where you'll be, and arrange your own ride. If you feel unsafe, leave. In an emergency, call 911.
Report problems
Use the Report or Block button on any profile or chat. Reports are private: the person you report isn't told who reported them. Anyone, even without an account, can also email a removal request (see Contact).
How we handle reports and removals
- Review: our moderators review new reports, removal requests and newly uploaded profiles and photos at least once a day.
- Decision: we dismiss the report if there's no violation, remove the specific photos or videos that break the rules, or suspend the account.
- Takedown: removed content is deleted right away. A suspended account is hidden from everyone immediately and any subscription is cancelled.
- Serious cases: anything involving minors, child sexual abuse material, trafficking, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate images or threats of violence leads to immediate permanent removal without refund. We preserve records and report to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Appeals: if you think your account was suspended by mistake, email us. Only the owner can review appeals and restore an account.
